About Us
Little Sweethearts Montessori was established seven years ago to deliver an authentic Montessori Programme to preschool children in Tauranga. We are very proud of Little Sweethearts Montessori and what it represents with many LSM Graduates now performing very well across a broad spectrum of endeavours. Starting with only one small school based in a residential home our Historic Village site now offers a complete Montessori experience starting with the Beginners Nest for Infants and Toddlers from 12 months and continuing into the Preschool Classroom up to 6 years.
At Little Sweethearts Montessori, we believe Montessori is more than an approach to education; it is an approach to life. We continue to strive for our Montessori environments to be places where children laugh, learn and grow together, that Little Sweethearts will be “where children love to be.”
A key focus for Little Sweethearts Montessori is building community so it is important to us that the Montessori experience also extends to families who wish to embrace Montessori principles in their home. Our Love Parenting series of workshops, evenings and events provides this support. Montessori Centre Aotearoa is also a key member of the Little Sweethearts Montessori family. Led by Rhonda Davison, Consultant to Little Sweethearts Montessori, MCA provides professional support and development through Montessori workshops for anyone interested in furthering their education and learning more about Montessori.
